I use predominantly body based “bottom-up” somatic approaches combined with cognitive “top-down” practices, to get to the heart of whats truly going on for you. This happens through a blend of different modalities (IFS, CBT, EFT, Narrative, Grief work, Somatic Experiencing).

Therapy looks different for everyone and no session is the same. That said - core themes do come up regularly. Themes of wanting to love ourselves better, love others better, a perceived lack of emotional safety based on old experiences, fear of being unlovable, fear of getting things wrong, fear of feeling too much, being too much and so on. Beliefs from our childhood, adolescence and beyond are embedded in our unconscious and dictate our behaviour and relationship to ourselves and to others.

In my sessions, we don’t view anxiety or depression as a disorder that must be ‘fixed’. The uncomfortable feelings and sensations that come with emotion are not treated as something to avoid, instead we increase your capacity to sit with the discomfort long enough to listen to the wisdom beneath, and allow the body and mind to connect and truly communicate as one.

Asking different parts of ourselves what they might be trying to say, what they might be needing, and learning to dive inwards to understand our motivations and behaviours a little better with greater curiosity and self compassion. From here I support you to take more agency over your life and empower your choices and behaviours moving forward for genuine lasting change.

Somatic Therapy acknowledges that emotions and trauma can be stored in the body, affecting a person’s physical health and well-being. Through acknowledging and working with the body, we can access deeper layers of healing than with traditional talk-therapies.

Psychodynamic Therapy explores the unconscious processes, life experiences, and relational patterns that shape a person’s current behavior and emotional state. It aims to uncover surpressed emotions, unresolved conflicts, and inner drives that influence a person's wellbeing.

As a certified Tantra Practitioner I also support clients in allowing their whole selves to be freely expressed, embracing the wide spectrum of human experience - which includes our sensuality, our sexuality, and our vulnerability and capacity for intimacy.
